It was a chilly December night when I arrived at the Toronto Police Department’s training center.

At the front of the room were the first officers to arrive.

It was cold enough to make me feel like I was at a funeral.

The room was small and dimly lit, with a small window behind the officer’s desk.

But it was full of bright blue uniforms and equipment, including Tasers, shields, helmets and body armor.

“Come on in, Officer,” the officer said, and we went through the motions.

I was on the squad, one of four rookies, and I was nervous.

I didn’t have much training, but I had to make sure I was in shape for a day on the job.

It’s important for rookies to get the proper equipment and knowledge to protect themselves in the event of a police encounter, said Toronto Police Insp.

Dan Kelly, the department’s public information officer.

“It’s important to remember, this is a very new type of policing that is not just a training exercise,” he said.

But for rookies, the equipment and the knowledge are key.

Training is a crucial part of the job, but it’s also crucial to the person who will be dealing with you, said Kelly, who is the director of the departments new concrete training program.

It is an important part of policing and an important element of public safety, he said, adding that the training has been designed to make the police department more effective and efficient.

“When I was a rookie, we were just looking for the next big thing,” said Kelly.

“We didn’t know what we were doing, what the police were doing.

That’s why I think we have this huge, massive training program, and it’s important that we train and have a training program that is appropriate to our current culture,” he added.

“This is an opportunity for us to go back to that,” he told CBC News.

But as soon as you get into the program, you start to feel a little bit of a rush.

The police department’s new training is designed to give the officers who have been trained a bit more of a tactical edge, he added, and to teach them how to use their weapons better.

The officers have to be on their best behavior, Kelly added.

But as Kelly said, the training is just as important to the officers as any other piece of equipment.

“There’s always something that you can learn from other police departments, and that’s what we’re doing here,” he explained.

Training the police is also a critical part of a new initiative to make Toronto a more attractive place to live.

About 60,000 people are moving out of the city every year, according to the city’s population forecast.

The Toronto police department is looking at ways to make it easier for residents to stay, but also to keep them from leaving.

Kelly said the new training will help the officers to better protect themselves and the public.

It will also help them with the mental health issues they will face in the future, Kelly explained.

It won’t be easy for everyone, but this is something that the city is going to work hard to do, he concluded.
